Q. How long will this store be operating on the island?
ShopGuernsey will operate as long as the Covid outbreak and risk of infection on the island continues. After the official all clear, it may continue as a useful local shopping portal.
Q. Can I pay by cash?
No. This is not recommended by the States of Guernsey. Money can potentially carry the virus and other germs. A number of none cash methods are included dependent on the individual store including direct bank transfer.
Q. Are there items I cannot order?
ShopGuernsey will operate within the current advice of the States of Guernsey. Beyond there recommended list it may be impractical to deliver some large items (such as DIY goods). Please contact the store in question.
Q. Is there a restriction of how many of one item I can order?
Not strictly although there may be recommendations in place and you will have to consider with the individual store the practicality of delivery on multiple items.
Q. can I order from the local islands such as Sark and Herm?
Not currently although this may be extended as the lock down is relaxed in future.
